This former barn has recently been converted to provide cosy accommodation split across two properties, situated on a working arable farm in the rural village of Harpley, some twenty minutes from the beautiful North Norfolk Coast. The properties are located close to the popular Lower Farm Bed and Breakfast, and the farm also offers stabling for horse riding holidays, with excellent rural rides along Peddars way and the coast. The village is next door to Houghton Hall and the Sandringham Estate, with the Peddars Way running close to the farm. Brancaster, Burnham Market, Hunstanton and Holkham are all within close reach. The little market towns of Fakenham, Swaffham and Kings Lynn are also nearby.

The two cottages have an identical layout, with an open plan kitchen / living room with sofa bed, TV, DVD player, dining table and chairs, and well equipped kitchen area with microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, electric cooker and fridge. Each has two cosy double bedrooms and bathroom with basin, loo and shower (with disabled facilities). Both have oil fired central heating, and all fuel, bed linen and towels are included in the rental. Outside, there is a garden and patio area, as well as off road parking.

    Hacheston is a pretty rural village between Woodbridge and Framlingham, well located for exploring Suffolk’s beautiful countryside and coastline. It has a village store, garden nursery with a very good farm shop and an eleventh century village church. Wickham Market, with its more extensive shops, restaurants and pubs is only two minutes drive away. On the coast, Orford, Snape, with the famous Snape Maltings concert hall, Aldeburgh, Thorpeness and Dunwich are within easy reach. Minsmere’s nature reserve, Walberswick and Southwold are also readily accessible.

    Lodge Cottage is a charming, thatched, weatherboarded colonial style building, situated in the grounds of Hacheston Lodge. It offers comfortable accommodation for 5/6 people, with bedrooms at ground and basement level, with the living space above. It has a very large living area with its sofas, TV, video and DVD, portable hi-fi and good sized dining table and chairs, with glazed doors leading to the galley kitchen with fridge, separate freezer, electric double oven and halogen ring, dishwasher and microwave. South-west facing glazed double doors lead to the sunny balcony with wrought iron table and chairs, overlooking the private patio, also with wrought iron furniture. There are three bedrooms; a double with wall mounted TV, a twin and a single bedroom with another full sized single bed that can be pulled out and used for a 6th person.

    Visitors have exclusive use of a huge grassed garden beyond their private parking area, where cricket, rounders etc can be played as well as access to the acres of paddocks within Hacheston Lodge grounds. The heated pool is open from May to September inclusive.

Nearby, there are two pubs, both of which serve good food and welcome children and, within walking distance there is a village store/Post Office/garage.

    Our seven self-contained cottages (some beamed) have been converted from redundant barns and are ideal for a break at any time of the year. They are centrally heated, comfortably furnished and each has a fitted, fully equipped kitchen (microwave, full-size cooker; fridge) and colour TV, two cottages have 4-poster beds and 2 have open fires. The three-bedroom cottages have a dishwasher and washing machine. Stable Cottage (2 bedrooms) also has a washing machine. In addition, there is a washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board and irons in the communal laundry room.

    Ladyhole House is an Edwardian country house, set at the top of a sweeping drive lined with Chestnut trees, and in the spring covered in a carpet of daffodils. It is set in mature gardens and grounds, with many beautiful trees and a walled garden. Guests of The Old Stables are welcome to enjoy all that the gardens offer, outdoor barbecues in the summer, an 'en tout cas' tennis court and croquet. For horse owners, there are stables and grazing near the house. Quiet countryside surrounds the house where it is possible to walk and cycle, and yet Ashbourne, the local market town, is only two miles away.

    The Old Stables is situated to the rear of the main house in its own gardens. Beautifully furnished, it can sleep 6 or 7 people very comfortably. A hallway leads to the fully equipped kitchen with Rayburn stove, dishwasher, microwave etc, and a utility room with washing machine and drier. The sitting room has an open fire, TV, DVD and CD player, and French windows opening out into a large conservatory, furnished with dining table and chairs, together with comfortable chairs for relaxing in. The conservatory opens into a patio area, with barbecue and garden chairs. There is also a twin-bedded bedroom downstairs, with basin and lavatory opposite. Upstairs there are two bedrooms - 1 double or twin-bedded room (plus Z bed) with adjacent bathroom, and one further twin-bedded room with shower. There is a Stannah stairlift to assist those with impaired mobility to get upstairs, and there are also ramps for wheelchairs.

Also on the ground floor there is large shower room with WC. Brand new well-equipped Christians kitchen has all modern facilities including a Range cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. There is a double bedroom with antique brass bed and en-suite bathroom with under floor heating and Lefroy Brooks suite. On the first floor there is a double / triple bedroom with single and double bed and two large sofas and TV / video - this leads into a further double bedroom with a Queen size bed.     Outside, there is a fully enclosed patio with barbecue, and guests have shared use of the swimming pool (heated between May and September) and tennis court. One dog is welcome by prior arrangement, but sorry, no smokers. Babysitting can also be arranged if required.

A wide range of activities, including surfing, walking, cycling, sailing, golf, horse riding and fishing can be enjoyed. Shops are half a mile away in St Davids; the delicatessen is well stocked with a wide selection of cheeses, wines cooked meats and home made pies. Locally there are many restaurants and fascinating pubs providing excellent and inexpensive meals.

    The cottages have fully enclosed sheltered gardens with lawns and sheltered patio and private of-the-road parking. The kitchens are fully equipped with new appliances: electric double fan oven with ceramic hob; cooker extractor hood; fridge/freezer; microwave and dishwasher; washing facilities are available in utility rooms with large washing machines and tumble driers. The cottages were awarded the top grading of 5 Dragons by the Wales Tourist Board and were graded 98%. Cleanliness is top priority. There are fitted carpets to all rooms, except the bathrooms, kitchen and utility rooms, which are tiles. Cots, high chairs and stair gates are provided for babies and toddlers and we offer a baby sitting service.

    Hendre Ioan has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms to sleep six people plus cots; Derwen has two bedrooms and two bathrooms to sleep up to 4 people plus cots; Beth Ruach has 7 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and sleeps up to 16 people plus cots; Whitesands has fabulous sea views and sleeps up to 12 people in 5 bedrooms.

    Situated on the gateway to The Gower Peninsula, South Wales - Britain’s first recognised Area of Outstanding National Beauty, breathtaking in any season. Clyne Farm Centre is located on one of the seven hills overlooking the majestic sweep of Swansea Bay and the historic fishing village of Mumbles. Beautiful unspoilt Gower beaches and countryside are only minutes away. Also available at the farm are many outdoor activities including horse riding, archery, indoor climbing, gorge walking, rock hopping, abseiling, and the famous Challenge Valley - the muddiest assault course in the world!!

    At the turn of the century, our grounds and buildings formed part of the Estate of the Vivians of Clyne Castle, the copper barons of Swansea and the world. Much has changes in the Estate since the Vivians day - the old stone farm buildings have been converted into self catering cottages which embrace both traditional values and modern convenience. Two things have definitely not changed though, the spectacular view and sincere welcome given to each and everyone visiting us.

    There are seven cottages on the main site; Byrons Barn, The Hayloft, The Dairy and Chapel Barn all sleep four persons (1 double, 1 twin), Horseshoe Cottage sleeps five persons (1 double, 1 twin, 1 single), Stables Cottage sleeps 6 persons (1 double, 2 twins) and The Old Schoolroom sleeps eight persons (2 doubles, 2 twins). The Dairy, Hayloft and Stables Cottage interconnect to sleep 14. Three miles away secluded within beautiful woodland and reached by a mile long stone track are Keepers Cottage (8 persons, 2 doubles, 2 twins) and Barn Owl Lodge (8 persons, 2 doubles, 2 twins) which can interconnect to sleep 16 persons.
