This pretty cottage has recently been restored to a very high specification, and is located within the conservation area of Winchcombe. Whilst situated in the centre of the village it enjoys a tranquil location but it is only a short stroll from the nearest shops and pubs. The cottage has two bedrooms, plus a sofa bed in the living room to accommodate up to six people. |

The cottage has been recently restored to a high standard, and has been awarded a 4-Star Rating by the English Tourism Council. In detail, the accommodation comprises:- Ground Floor Accommodation Sitting Room: The fireplace has a 'Living Flame' gas fire; there is a wide screen television with Sky and a DVD player with a collection of DVD’s. Kitchen: The kitchen is of a high standard with quality appliances which include a gas hob, integrated electric oven and grill, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dryer. The Area |
Winchcombe with its close proximity to the Cotswold Way, Wardens Way, Gloucestershire Way, Wychavon Way and Windrush Way, is an ideal base for a walking holiday. There are many places to eat and enjoy a drink in Winchcombe and the town is graced with many links with both national and local history. Sudeley Castle was the home of Katherine Parr, Henry VIII’s last wife and nearby are Hailes Abbey; a 13th Century Cistercian house, founded by Richard, Earl of Cornwall and Belas Knap, one of the finest neolithic long barrows in Gloucestershire Winchcombe is also ideally situated for Cheltenham with its Literature, Jazz, Science and National Hunt Festivals. The last of which of course culminates in the world famous Cheltenham Gold Cup which takes place in 2007 on Friday, March 16th. For golf enthusiasts there is a choice of several courses within a short drive including the incredibly scenic and challenging Broadway Golf Club. And if you are interested in theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon, Cheltenham, Tewksbury and Malvern are all within easy reach. There are many other attractions surrounding Winchcombe but above all it is a beautiful and relaxing Cotswold town with easy access to the other North Cotswold towns of Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh, Bourton-on-the-Water, Chipping Campden and Broadway. |
