Internet-Cottages was established in 1998 as a directory of UK holiday cottages bookable direct with the property owners. We have more recently expanded to provide a similar service for French holiday cottages (or ' gites '), Villas in Spain and for finding a Ski chalet in Europe.
Unlike cottage rental agencies such as English Country Cottages, we do not charge our owners a commission on bookings, as these are made directly with the property owners. In general, this will mean that you will save money by booking direct.
We aim to provide enough information about our cottage rentals to enable you to make an informed choice about your holiday. Details are provided to us by the cottage owners, and are taken in good faith; Internet-Cottages can accept no repsonsibility for inaccuracy of the information as provided to us.
Our holiday cottage uk section covers most areas of the United Kingdom, including cottages in England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales. The Area listings below take you directly to the area of the country you are interested in, or you can use the menu at the top of this page to navigate the site.
Our holiday cottage france section was started somewhat later then the UK holiday cottages section of the site, but currently has around 70 gites in France.
Our Spanish villa section is our most recent addition, with around 50 villas in Spain.
Our ski chalets section covers self-catering ski chalets in France, ski apartments in France and catered ski chalets in France. Other parts of Europe will follow next season.
