Vivers Mill
Cottage is a stone, Grade II listed building right on the edge of town,
full of beams, nooks, fireplaces, antique furniture, romantic charm and
intriguing collections. It is part of the historic Vivers Mill
conservation area, and has two bedrooms to sleep up to seven people.
With its own garden, it is also fully equipped, and includes open fire and
dishwasher. Children welcome, but sorry, no smokers or
pets. |

| The
Place |
You can see fields out of
the pretty cottage windows and there are footpaths heading out into the
country just outside the gate. Going the other way it’s a five-minute
walk through the sheep field (perhaps ten if you let the children
stop to play on the climbing tree by the beck) into the pretty market town
of Pickering, gateway to the North Yorkshire Moors, for fantastic walking and
cycling, and the beginning of the North Yorkshire
steam railway. The area is full of fun things to enjoy and places to
go. Just browse through our information booklet on your arrival to
whet your appetite.
Scarborough, Whitby and the delightful Robin Hood’s Bay, on the east coast are about twenty
miles away. The beautiful city of York, for a spot of culture and a helping of history is just thirty miles
away. |

Cottage |
The
Cottage is an eighteenth century grade two listed building right on
the edge of town. It is full of beams, nooks, fireplaces, antique
furniture, romantic charm and intriguing collections. It is
part of the historic Mill conservation area. The cottage
really is delightful, and
will sleep 4 - 7 people comfortably.

| The cottage is centrally heated
and newly decorated throughout. Upstairs there is a very
pretty double bedroom and a twin room (plus a z-bed) and a luxurious
bathroom. |

Downstairs is a dining room and fully equipped kitchen
with dishwasher; a downstairs washroom / toilet and a utility area
with washing machine and dryer. There is a huge sitting room
with plenty of soft seating and a log burning stove for maximum
evening cosiness, plus a comfy double sofa bed. |

French doors open out from the
sitting room onto the terrace and a graveled driveway big enough for
two cars. This area is completely enclosed and safe.
Pillows, blankets and lots of
duvets are there. There is a telephone (for incoming calls),
beautiful wooden garden furniture, children’s games and toys and
books and maps.
We ask
you to bring your own sheets, towels and tea towels.
We are
sure you will enjoy a stay in this beautiful and tastefully
equipped cottage. It sits on the edge of open fields at the
very edge of the small market town of Pickering. There is
so much to see and do in the picturesque North Yorkshire Moors.
Glancing through the visitors book will assure you that there
are many and varied things to do for all ages and that guests
have had wonderful time out and about. It also reflects the
enjoyment that guests have experienced whilst staying in the
