Le Chalet Fischer is situated approximately 60km from Geneva, in Verchaix, a charming Savoyard village nestling on a very sunny slope close to Samoens and Morillon. The location is ideal for summer activities such as mountain biking, hiking and hill walking, with numerous green paths starting from the village, and leading up to the wild tracks of the high mountain pastures.
     
The Chalet The chalet itself is in a magnificent setting, facing due south and offering spectacular panoramic views.  It is a modern construction, tastefully furnished and decorated, superbly equipped (including woodburner, washing machine and dishwasher), spacious light and airy. In detail, the accommodation comprises:-

The Area

The authentic Savoyard village of Verchaix is truly charming, comprising typical hamlets of chalets and farms with ornate carved balconies in a delightful natural setting. Adjacent to the village there is a swimming lake, tennis courts and mini-golf. Other activities in the valley include rafting, canoeing, mountain walking, climbing, paragliding, potholing, tree top adventure courses, mountain biking, cycling, quad track, swimming, and horse riding.

   
 

Alternatively, if you want to do a bit of touring, Verchaix is also the perfect starting point for excursions to Chamonix, Annecy and Yvoire or, in Switzerland, to Geneva or Montreux.
Prices

Self catering prices include electricity, hot water, heating, bedlinen (beds are made prior to arrival of guests), towels, shampoos, shower gels and soaps, logs, end of stay cleaning, tourist tax, items such as coffee filters, dishwasher tabs and washing up liquid.  Cot and highchair are available. There are also DVDs, videos, books, magazines, CDs, board games, as well as a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, electric kettle, toaster, coffee machine and grinder, food mixer, cheese and meat fondue sets and raclette machines. WiFi high speed internet/email connection for guests with portable computers.

Permanent discounts/reductions

  • 15% reduction in price of bookings for children age 2-under 13 at holiday start;
  • children under 2 at holiday start stay free-of-charge at chalet;
  • for summer 2009 holidays, 10% ‘early bird’ discount for bookings confirmed by deposit by 31 December 2008 (on a first-come-first-served basis);
  • 5% discount for bookings made by returning guest;
  • 5% reduction in price of additional (consecutive) week booked;
  • permanent discounts/reductions are not applicable to Special Offer prices.

Booking procedure

  • all payments can be made by credit card (Visa, Mastercard);
  • a minimum deposit of 25% of the rental price is required for a booking to be confirmed;
  • balance of rental price is payable 8 weeks prior to holiday start date;
  • payment of 100% of the rental price is required if a booking is made less than 8 weeks prior to holiday start date.
