Comfortable detached modern bungalow set in owner’s very pretty garden surroundings overlooking meadows and the river, sleeps 3.

£200 - £425

Tucked away in a corner overlooking the meadows and the river on the outskirts of Colyton, this is a perfect spot for a secluded holiday very close to civilisation. No need to stray very far from "home" at Millstream Bungalow - enjoy the comfortable accommodation and relax in the sunshine on the terrace. It is good walking country and the station is within easy reach for an enjoyable tram journey to the coast at Seaton passing tremendous birdlife on the river Axe. Colyton has interesting shops and within and nearby there are several good places to eat serving home cooking. There are beaches at Seaton, Beer, Lyme Regis and Sidmouth, and the County towns of Exeter and Taunton are both around 25 miles. This is an ideal holiday base for couples and although not specifically designed for disabled may be suitable for those with restricted mobility as the bungalow and access are on one level.

An entrance hall leads to a good-sized lounge / dining room, overlooking the sunny patio with ornamental planters. The fitted kitchen is compact but well equipped, with electric cooker and appliances that include a fridge and microwave. There are two bedrooms - Bedroom 1 has twin beds and Bedroom 2 is a single room, both with restful décor. The bathroom has a bath with handrail, overbath shower, basin and WC. All maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. Outside, there is on-drive parking at the door, and a sheltered terrace overlooking the old millstream with patio furniture (including padded wheeled sun loungers) and gas barbeque. Please note: unsuitable for pets and children because of millstream, and smoking is not allowed within the bungalow.

£204 - £715

English Tourism Council 4 Stars

Yetland Farm Cottages in North Devon are situated down a quiet country lane, just outside Combe Martin and in the parish of Berrynarbor. The cottages are all converted from 18th Century farm barns, and are situated around the old farm courtyard. All of our self catering cottages have been given a Four Star rating by the English Tourism Council, and come with free linen, towels and electricity. They range in size from one to three bedrooms, sleeping 3, 4 or 6 people plus cot. 10 individually styled character cottages with great on-site facilities. Sleep from 2 + cot to 8.

£216 - £1112

Our beautiful cottages, set in 6 acres of grounds in West Devon, offer an idyllic rural retreat for adults and children alike. The cottages are set around two sunny courtyards with stunning panoramic views to Dartmoor and beyond. Children can enjoy the freedom to roam and play in the play area, feed the ducks on the wildlife pond and make friends with other children, all in a safe environment. There is plenty for adults too with our on-site facilities: a 12m x 6m indoor heated swimming pool (very popular with all our guests), sauna and games room (pool table, table tennis and motorised treadmill), grass tennis court and 9 hole pitch & putt. But if that all seems far too energetic, you can just grab yourself a book, sit back in a sunlounger and while away a couple of hours.

Nothing is far away from West Banbury. We are near the A30 making getting here and exploring Devon and Cornwall easy. Whether it’s beaches, coves, beauty spots, moors, stately homes and gardens, places of historical interest or children’s/family activities you want, all are easily accessible. With a good range of pubs and restaurants to suit all budgets nearby, we can offer something for most people.

The cottages are all simply but stylishly furnished and well-equipped. Most are converted from the original farm buildings with all the character you'd expect, plus we have 3 newer spacious one-bedroom cottages. All two-bedroom cottages have a double and a twin room. With such a good range of cottages we can take large parties of family and friends, with Haybarn and Wilhayes Barn offering good, large spaces for everyone to get together. We happily take well-behaved dogs. We are open all year and offer short breaks.

Fabulous converted cottage with stunning views, sleeps 8.

£300 - £1200

The cottage is situated in an outstandingly beautiful position close to, and directly overlooking, the rugged coastline between Prawle Point and Start Point. This is the most southerly tip of Devon. The land between the cottage and the sea is National Trust land and the main features are the wild coastline, the delightful and relatively deserted coves nearby, and the view - which at all times is outstanding. The South Devon Coastal Path which passes near the cottage provides walking amid superb scenery in either direction - toward Start Point and Dartmouth or towards Salcombe. Salcombe and Dartmouth are sailing centres - both attractive towns well worth visiting. There is a good sandy beach at nearby Maceley Cove.

The attractive, terraced former Coastguard cottage enjoys stunning sea-views, and features dining room and sitting room (with open fire) on the ground floor, with a door opening out to the terrace and garden. Also on the ground floor is the well equipped kitchen and downstairs toilet. On the first floor there is a double bedroom with sea-views and en-suite bathroom, and two further bedrooms sleeping two each. The lovely top attic room sleeps two (with en-suite shower room) and has large velux windows front and rear providing good light and sea views. Children and pets welcome, but sorry, no smokers.
