Elmbury Cottage

The barn has been beautifully converted to provide a light and airy holiday home, retaining many character features such as exposed beams and exposed stone walls, yet with modern conveniences such as central heating. The cottage is south facing and totally private, so guests can enjoy superb views of the fields and woodlands stretching uninterrupted to the top of the farm.

Essentially on one floor with a few steps to three of the bedrooms, the accommodation comprises:-

  • Light and airy 30-foot open plan kitchen / dining / sitting room with open pine beams. The kitchen is fully equipped including electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, scullery with washing machine and tumble drier. The sitting area is equipped with comfortable seating, TV and CD player.
  • Four bedrooms (2 dbl, 2 twin, plus two put-me-up folding beds)
  • Three bathrooms
The Havana Club Party Barn
The Havana Club is offered for hire as an optional extra.

The interior of the barn has been designed to create the impression of having an inner courtyard in the middle (5m by 5m) with a bar area off to one side (4.3m by 3m) and a smoking/sitting area (5m by 3m) off to the other side. It is for small groups or parties up to 30 to relax or party. There is a fridge, coffee machine (only for the well trained) and a sink in the bar area. In the inner courtyard you will find a 42 inch plasma (discreetly hidden behind antique louvered doors) with surround sound. Enjoy background music, a dvd or dance the night away. It ís a special area put aside where you do not feel guilty to sit and relax. It ís the place to have a good coffee or a glass of wine or smoke a cigar from Havana......... it ís the Havana Club a taste of decaying decadence.
